Actress and comedy writer Lynsey Bell was trained at the prestigious Drama Centre London, graduating in the summer of 2004.
Previous to her training Lynsey's first major production at the age of 17 was the profound Samuel Beckett exestential masterpiece Waiting for Godot at the York Theatre Royal in which she undertook the notorious role of Vladimir. Her subsequent review in the Yorkshire Evening Post read: "Lynsey as Vladimir gave a flawless performance with an ability that could easily be attributed to someone of much greater maturity".
Moving to London in 2000 from Wetherby, West Yorkshire, Lynsey showed a keenness and talent for stand-up comedy with a particular niche in Professional Improvisation and comedy writing. She attended the Method Studio in Holborn, central London where she honed her skills as a comic and was taught the mechanics of screen acting by the late Don Fellows who was trained by Lee Strasburg and in the same class as Marilyn Monroe.
Lynsey won a place at Drama Centre London in 2001 and became part of the same alumni as actors such as Paul Bettany, Tom Hardy, John Simm, Colin Firth, Simon Callow and Penelope Wilton. She was gifted the John Gielgud award in 2003 and was selected to represent Drama Centre London for the BBC Carleton Hobbs award in 2004.
Upon graduation, Lynsey was imminently cast alongside Martin Shaw in Judge John Deed for the BBC and has since gone on to work in film, video and commercials, all the while continuing to write and perform comedy.
